About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):
YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions.
Job Description:
Overall Responsibility: Conduct community visit, outreach sessions and public awareness activities related to adolescents and youth in target provinces.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare and perform public awareness programs and organize awareness raising workshops.
- Design and distribute brochures, pamphlets and handouts in communities.
- Conduct a regular follow up of cases of violence against adolescents and youth registered with the center.
- Engage in conducting outreach session to the target communities.
- Engage in identification of vulnerable young people for the livelihood programs.
- Keep daily record in a confidential and safe manner
- Prepare daily and monthly report for direct supervisor
- Ensure high quality of social services within overall project
- Perform any other tasks in line with the job description and assigned by direct supervisor
Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- University degree in social work, psychology or sociology
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in social work
- Experience of working on children issues
- Good knowledge about adolescents and children’s social work and AY development programs.
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto, Dari and English language
- Able to provide reports within due deadlines
